Job summary

Lighthouse Community Church in Richland, WA is seeking a Part-time Worship Director to guide our congregational worship and shepherd the worship and tech ministry teams. The role emphasizes biblically faithful, musically accessible worship that honors God.

You will plan weekly gatherings, recruit and train volunteers, lead rehearsals, and coordinate AVL operations, ensuring clear communication and alignment with sermon direction and church theology.

Qualifications

• Experience leading worship with multiple teams and services.
• Familiarity with planning/production tools (Planning Center or similar).
• Gospel-centered, teachable, and strong character for church leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and staff to support the church's vision and discipleship goals.
• Plan and lead weekly worship services aligned with sermon direction and church theology.
• Select, arrange, and prepare music that encourages meaningful congregational participation.
• Recruit, schedule, train, lead, and shepherd volunteer musicians and vocalists.
• Lead weekly rehearsals and prepare teams for Sunday services.
• Provide clear leadership and direction for the AVL (Audio/Video/Lighting) team.
• Communicate schedules, setlists, and expectations clearly and consistently.
• Help plan and support special services, events, and church-wide gatherings as needed.
