JOB DESCRIPTION

North Way Christian Community is seeking a Worship Director (40 hrs/wk) for our multi-site church. The Worship Director will oversee the Worship Ministry at the Beaver Valley campus, setting standards and developing systems, to support all campus worship ministry needs, and will lead all aspects of the worship and weekend experience while helping people connect to North Way and develop as disciples of Jesus Christ.

QUALIFICATIONS

A fundamental qualification for all applicants is a growing relationship with God and a desire to impact the world with the love and message of Jesus Christ. The Minimum Qualifications for this position include:

• Highly proficient in music theory and in leading worship vocally

• Highly proficient in at least one musical instrument, preferred

• Highly proficient and as a band director and demonstrates an understanding of the primary band instrumentation (drums, bass, keys, guitar and vocals) in order to efficiently direct a band

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or at least three years equivalent experience

• Proven developer of teams and people, and disciple-maker

• Skilled communicator with leadership and administration gifts

• Proficiency with Mac-based products

• Proficient in Planning Center Online and Ableton

• Background checks must be current
