Job summary

North Way Christian Community is seeking a Worship Director (40hrs/wk) to oversee the Beaver Valley campus worship ministry, setting standards and developing systems to support worship needs. You will lead all aspects of worship, production and the weekend experience, helping people connect to North Way and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.

• Highly proficient in music theory and vocal leadership.
• Lead people confidently into worship.
• Proficient in at least one musical instrument.
• Strong band directing abilities and understanding of drums, bass, keys, guitar, vocals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

North Way Christian Community is seeking a Worship Director (40hrs/wk) for our multi-site church. The Worship Director will oversee the Worship Ministry at the Beaver Valley campus, setting standards and developing systems, to support all campus worship ministry needs, and will lead all aspects of the worship, production and weekend experience while helping people connect to North Way and develop as disciples of Jesus Christ.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly proficient in music theory and in leading worship vocally
• Lead people confidently, authentically, and powerfully into worship
• Highly proficient in at least one musical instrument, preferred
• Highly proficient as a band director and demonstrates an understanding of the primary band instrumentation (drums, bass, keys, guitar and vocals) in order to efficiently direct a band.
• Spot, recruit, onboard, develop worship volunteers
• Be available for leading, planning, and participating in special events
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or at least three years equivalent experience
• Proven developer of teams and people, and disciple-maker.
• Skilled communicator with leadership and administration gifts.
• Proficiency with Mac-based products
• Proficient in Planning Center Online and Ableton
• Background checks must be current
