Job summary

Fresh Life Church is seeking a Worship Arts Director to provide spiritual, creative, and administrative leadership for all worship experiences. You will train worship teams, plan services, and collaborate with production and teaching teams to ensure Christ-centered, excellent worship aligned with our vision.

Ideal candidates will have a mature faith, ministry experience leading worship, and proficiency with planning and production tools.

Qualifications

• Proven ministry experience leading worship in a church setting or a related degree.
• Preferred 2–4 years of worship leadership in church settings.
• Strong vocal and/or instrumental proficiency for leading teams spiritually.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead weekly worship services aligned with sermon series.
• Lead and develop worship teams, musicians, and volunteers through rehearsals.
• Foster creativity and excellence in worship arts expressions.
• Collaborate with Production Ministry for audio, video, lighting, livestream and visuals.
• Partner with Teaching Team on sermon branding and visuals.

The Worship Arts Director provides spiritual, creative, and administrative leadership for all worship experiences at Fresh Life Church. This leader ensures that every service is Christ-centered, excellent in execution, and aligned with the vision and mission of Fresh Life Church. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Proven Ministry Experience in leading worship in a church setting or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related or congruent field
• Preferred Minimum 2-4 years of experience leading worship in a church setting
• Strong vocal and/or instrumental proficiency with the ability to lead teams musically and spiritually.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, coordinate, and lead weekly worship services in partnership and that align with the Lead Pastor’s Sermon Series schedule.
• Select and arrange biblically sound and culturally relevant music that reflects the church’s worship identity.
• Lead and develop worship teams, musicians, and worship arts volunteers through rehearsals, training, and spiritual encouragement.
• Fostering creativity and excellence in all worship arts expressions used in worship.
• Collaborating with the Production Ministry to support audio, video, lighting, livestream, and visual elements.
• Partnering with the Teaching Team on sermon series branding, special events, and visual storytelling.

TEAM DEVELOPMENT & ADMIN

• Recruit, audition, train, schedule, and onboard new musicians and worship arts volunteers.
• Build a culture of excellence, accountability, and spiritual maturity within the Worship Arts Ministry.
• Manage ministry budget, equipment needs, and maintenance of musical instruments and worship arts resources.
• Ensure all worship environments are prepared, rehearsed, and executed with professionalism and care.
• Work in partnership with the Director of Ministry
• Operations/Programming to ensure operational alignment and administrative support.
• Attend regular staff meetings and additional meetings as requested.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Evaluate each Sunday’s worship and provide constructive, encouraging feedback to musicians and vocalists
• Build genuine, caring relationships with worship team volunteers, leading, encouraging, and appreciating them as people, not just musicians

SPECIAL SERVICES & EVENTS

• Lead worship planning for major services such as Easter, Christmas, church anniversaries, worship nights, and community events.
• Support weddings, funerals, and other pastoral services as needed.
• Partner with other ministries to provide worship support for conferences, youth events, and outreach initiatives.

COMPENSATION

Annual Salary Package Range $40k-$50k based off experience and qualifications
