Qualifications

• RIDE All Grades World Language Teacher credential or eligibility.
• Spanish, French, or Italian credential/listed preference.
• ESL/MLL Certification is required.
• Right to Read Certification is required.
• Experience with students facing behavioral, social, and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets students' individual needs, interests, and abilities.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and communicate objectives clearly to students.
• Employ instructional methods and materials aligned with stated objectives.
• Assess student progress and provide regular reports.
• Support diagnosis of learning needs with district specialists as required.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents regularly.
• Assist administration in enforcing policies and maintaining orderly classrooms.
• Maintain open communication with students and parents about academic and behavioral progress.
• Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
