Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in History or Education required.
• Valid NC teaching license or eligibility for licensure in Middle Grades or Secondary Social Studies preferred.
• Experience teaching middle or high school Social Studies preferred but not required.
• Strong classroom management and lesson design skills.
• Commitment to educational equity and preparing all students for college and career.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement rigorous, standards-aligned lesson plans for middle school World History with high school credit.
• Teach core concepts: ancient civilizations, world religions, global conflicts, revolutions, cultural movements.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs; maintain structured, engaging classroom environment.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Integrate technology, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary connections.
