Job summary

Savills is seeking a motivated Workplace Strategist in Washington, DC to help organizations create workplaces that enable people, culture, and business to thrive. This role combines research, strategy development, and client delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will conduct qualitative and quantitative studies, synthesize findings into actionable recommendations, and develop reports, guidelines, and executive summaries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Psychology, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of workplace strategy or related consulting experience.
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling in client deliverables.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel; knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD/Power BI helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end workplace strategy engagements from kickoff to recommendations.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research including interviews and surveys.
  • Analyze client data to synthesize actionable workplace strategies.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and workplace guidelines for clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Savills teams and manage multiple workstreams.

ABOUT THE ROLE

At Savills, we help organizations create workplaces that enable their people, culture, and business to thrive. Savills is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Workplace Strategist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex workplace challenges, and takes pride in delivering exceptional client outcomes.

As a key member of our Workplace Strategy team, you will support a wide range of client engagements, from research and analysis through strategy development and final deliverables. You'll be expected to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and proactively identify opportunities to add value for both clients and the team.

This role is based in Washington, DC, and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the delivery of workplace strategy engagements from project kickoff through final recommendations.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including stakeholder interviews, workshops, surveys, occupancy and utilization analysis, benchmarking, and industry research.
  • Analyze client data and synthesize findings into actionable workplace strategies and recommendations.
  • Develop compelling client deliverables, including reports, presentations, workplace guidelines, vision documents, and executive summaries.
  • Partner with senior team members to facilitate client meetings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Manage multiple project workstreams simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Savills, including Change Management, Project Management, Occupier Services, Portfolio Solutions, and Transaction Services.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and brokers through responsive communication, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to business development efforts through proposal development, thought leadership, and market research.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of workplace trends, change management, employee experience, hybrid work, and emerging industry best practices.
  • Demonstrate ownership of assigned work and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, deliverables, and client outcomes.
  • Coordinate project support tasks, including meeting notes, scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Successfully managing multiple projects while prioritizing excellence in service delivery and team growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Psychology, Organizational Development, Business, Real Estate, Planning, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in workplace strategy, interior design, management consulting, corporate real estate, or a related consulting discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability in supporting workplace strategy, visioning, programming or occupancy planning, utilization analysis, and scenario planning.
  • A strong portfolio (2–3 projects or deliverables) demonstrating analytical skills, the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, create compelling data visualizations, and communicate meaningful insights through persuasive storytelling is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills with experience developing compelling presentations and reports.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign and Excel; experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Power BI, Tableau, Miro, or similar visualization and collaboration tools is a plus.
  • Skill and ability to integrate AI-powered research and synthesis tools into strategic workflows
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability and readiness to communicate frequently internally through virtual and in-person modalities.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and a willingness to take ownership in an entrepreneurial setting.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing client needs.
  • Passion for workplace strategy, employee experience, and the future of work.
  • Willingness to travel as client engagements require.
