Kadence is seeking a Workplace Solutions Engineer in the Salt Lake City area. You will own complex enterprise deployments, design and execute rollout plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, security, and operations.
You will develop training and enablement assets and partner with product leadership to translate customer needs into Kadence configurations. Hybrid role near Salt Lake City, with periodic on-site collaboration for large-scale launches and workshops.
As a fast-paced, early-stage, venture capital-backed B2B SaaS company, we're looking for a Workplace Solutions Engineer in Salt Lake City area. Kadence is the AI-powered Workplace Operations Platform - one unified system that orchestrates people, space, and time. Leaders get a real-time command center for their two largest costs: people and real estate. Employees get a bottom-up daily guide that helps them navigate every workday.
We work with agile, multi-site enterprises across financial services, healthcare, government, manufacturing, professional services, and technology. Hybrid coordination got us into some of the best companies in the world. Those same customers are now pulling us further upmarket - asking us to solve for operations, planning, scenarios, ROI, and portfolio management. We're building the category-defining company for the future of work, and this role sits at the center of how we make that shift real for enterprise customers.
As our customers have moved upmarket and our platform has grown from booking into a full operations layer: SpaceOps, WorkOps Pro, VMS, Sense, Kadence Agent, Insights Plus, Move Manager, and Kadence AI. The technical bar for our deployments has changed. IT teams at our largest customers now want to talk about SSO/SCIM architecture, Zscaler exceptions, Intune policies, calendar service accounts, sensor hardware, multi-instance strategies, and compliance frameworks, often on the first call.
The Workplace Solutions Engineer is the person who meets them there. You are the deep technical brain the customer experience team leans on when a deployment is complex, an integration is contested, a launch has to land on a specific date, or an enterprise workflow needs to be engineered, not just configured. You partner with CSMs, sales engineers, and directly with our product and engineering leadership to make sure every Kadence implementation lands cleanly and unlocks the outcomes we sold.
Own the technical implementation across our most complex enterprise deployments. Design and deliver the technical rollout for named enterprise accounts - SSO (Entra ID, Okta, OIDC), SCIM provisioning, calendar integration (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace service accounts), Kadence Agent deployment via Intune/MDM, public-IP configuration for automated check-in, Zscaler/proxy/VPN exceptions, HRIS syncs (Azure AD, Workday feeds), and hardware setup (Neat devices, iPad kiosks, room displays). You are the person who unblocks the deployment when it hits the customer's IT reality.
Engineer Kadence for real-world workplace complexity. Configure the platform to model how each customer actually operates - overlapping neighborhoods, priority-based booking, hoteling vs. reverse hoteling vs. assigned seating, contractor vs. staff instances, phased multi-country global rollouts, custom roles, VMS operator workflows, badge printing, and floor plan strategies (Archilogic, bulk upload, phased builds). You translate messy customer requirements into elegant Kadence configurations, and you know when to push back and when to elevate to product.
Lead launch planning and go-live orchestration. Own the launch plan for each customer - sequence of events, dependency chain, and cutover playbook. Coordinate calendar integration before floor plan work, SSO before user sync, and welcome-email suppression before bulk imports. Design phased rollouts by site and by region, ambassador-led soft openings, pilot cohort selection, and licensing-pool sizing. Sequence announcement and launch communications with the customer champion (including CPO/CHRO-signed emails where required), manage go-live-day risk in real time, and orchestrate agent deployment, Teams/Slack app rollout, and global announcement send. Nothing slips because you kept every dependency visible.
Build and deliver customer enablement. Design and run the training curriculum for each customer - Global Admin, Team Manager, Booking Scheduler, and VMS Operator sessions; end-user rollout training; new-hire onboarding modules (short-form video, agent-login walkthroughs, starring/check-in flows); site manager enablement kits (comms templates, dashboards, anchor-day guidance); Workplace Champions and ambassador programs; and lunch-and-learn formats for large sites. You create the assets - one-pagers, videos, admin guides - and you deliver them live when it matters. Every customer leaves onboarding with a team that can run Kadence without you.
Coach customers on workplace operations best practices. You bring the pattern-matching from hundreds of deployments to every conversation. Advise customers on adoption strategy, agent enablement, anchor days, neighborhood design, priority booking, hoteling models, data-privacy settings that keep leadership trust intact, and how to sequence a rollout from pilot through global launch. Coach champions and admins on middle-manager engagement, sustaining early wins, and building the internal narrative that drives adoption. When a customer's CFO or CHRO needs to see value, you're in the room shaping that story.
Stay in the account through moments that matter in the full lifecycle, not just at kickoff. Own post-launch optimization, edge cases, new-feature enablement (Kadence Agent updates, AI, Slack, Move Manager), and net-new site rollouts as customers expand.
Navigate enterprise security, compliance, and change management. Own the technical narrative through Architecture Review Boards, security reviews, legal and procurement reviews, and compliance conversations (CMMC, HIPAA-adjacent workflows, GDPR, data-residency). Advise customers on how to structure admin permissions and privacy settings so leadership trusts the system.
Close the loop with Product and Engineering. Because you're closest to the customer's technical reality, you are the highest-signal input for what needs to be built next. Compile structured feedback, file high-priority bug reports, and work directly with product managers and engineering on custom features and platform improvements. You are a reason the roadmap reflects what enterprise customers actually need.
Raise the bar for how we deploy Kadence. Document repeatable technical playbooks, launch templates, and enablement curricula - integration guides, network requirements, phased-rollout templates, admin training decks, comms templates. Every deployment should make the next one faster and cleaner. Partner with CX leadership on continuous improvement of our onboarding and implementation methodology as we scale into larger and more complex accounts.
You will join our Customer Experience organization - a tight, hands-on team that owns the customer journey from signature through renewal and expansion. You will work alongside our Customer Success Managers and Support team, and you will have a direct line to our engineering and product leadership. This role reports to the VP of Customer Success.
