Sertoma Center, Inc. is seeking Full-Time Workplace Readiness Specialists in Knoxville, TN. The role supports our persons served, supervising them at their jobsite and encouraging performance to the best of their ability.

Salary starts at $15.68 per hour with full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with up to 5% match after 1 year, and generous PTO for 30-40 hour weeks. Training and company vehicles are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience.
• At least 6 months of prior experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to perform duties in a tobacco-free work environment.
• 3 years clean driving history with a valid Tennessee driver’s license.
• US Work Authorization

Responsibilities

• Document daily notes and outcomes in Timas system.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records for billing purposes.
• Manage direct care and supervision for several persons at a time.
• Develop positive relationships with various employers.
• Assist in forming supportive relationships with personnel at jobsites.
• Consult with day supervisors regarding progress or issues.
• Encourage appropriate dress code when leaving for work.

Specialists Job Summary: The Workplace Readiness Specialist is responsible for the direct care and supervision of a given set of our persons served population. You will provide constant support through positivity and encouragement to our people served while overseeing them at their jobsite to ensure they are performing their assigned duties to the best of their ability.
