Job summary

DiBara Masonry is seeking a seasoned Working Masonry Lead and Site Foreman to command field operations for our custom residential and high profile commercial builds. In this dual leadership role, approximately 90 percent of your effort will focus on active hands on installation and trade execution, while 10 percent will focus on site logistics, material scheduling, and crew coordination.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience as a skilled Mason with at least 2 years of crew supervision.
• Ability to set 100 to 125+ blocks per day as a baseline production metric.
• Proficiency across tile, brick, stucco, natural stone, block and concrete installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and specs.
• Proficient with masonry tools and heavy equipment (saws, mixers, drills, trowels, levels).
• Strong client-facing communication and safety compliance.
• Valid state driver license and ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Crew Leadership: supervise 3–5 masons and laborers on sites, ensuring safety and quality.
• Hands On Trade Execution: lay brick, set block, install stone, mix mortar, cut materials.
• Daily Work Planning: coordinate with project managers to plan tasks and resources.
• Quality Inspections: regularly verify work against blueprints and specs.
• Training and Mentorship: coach new employees on masonry techniques and tool care.
• Inventory & Logistics: monitor materials, requisition supplies to maintain workflow.
• Stakeholder Communication: liaise with clients, subcontractors, and trades.
• Safety Enforcement: uphold OSHA rules and site safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Crew Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of 3 to 5 masons and laborers on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
• Hands On Trade Execution: Provide direct, hands on installation including laying brick, setting block, installing natural stone, mixing mortar, and cutting materials.
• Daily Work Planning: Coordinate with project managers to plan daily tasks, allocate site resources, and meet strict project completion deadlines.
• Quality Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of work progress to ensure total adherence to blueprints, civil plans, engineering specifications, and safety protocols.
• Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor new employees, providing expert guidance on proper masonry techniques, tool care, and equipment operation.
• Inventory and Material Logistics: Monitor inventory levels of materials and equipment on site, requisitioning supplies in advance to support continuous workflow.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other site trades to ensure smooth project execution, punch list resolution, and customer satisfaction.
• Safety Regulation Enforcement: Enforce strict OSHA safety rules and jobsite procedures, addressing any safety concerns or hazards immediately.
• Operational Reporting: Maintain accurate daily records of labor hours, equipment usage, and project expenses for reporting purposes.
• Estimation Support: Assist in estimating project costs and preparing bids for new construction projects as needed.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

• Industry Tenure: 5 to 10 years of experience as a skilled Mason with at least 2 years of direct crew supervisory experience.
• High Production Benchmark: Proven physical capability to set 100 to 125 plus blocks per day as a baseline standard.
• Multi Material Versatility: Comprehensive proficiency across tile, brick, stucco, natural stone, block, and concrete installation.
• Plan and Blueprint Literacy: Demonstrated capability to read and interpret technical blueprints, architectural drawings, and job specifications.
• Tool and Equipment Mastery: Complete proficiency in operating trade tools and heavy equipment including masonry saws, mixers, drills, trowels, and levels.
• Client Facing Communication: Strong customer service skills required for client interactions, walkthroughs, and final punch list sign offs.
• Physical Capabilities: Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, pass site physical assessments, and perform continuous manual labor in varying weather conditions.
• Safety Credentialing: Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety with strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Logistics Infrastructure: Valid state driver license and capability to operate company machinery and transport vehicles.

• Technical Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with additional vocational or technical training in masonry or construction management preferred.
