Job description

FoxTrot Aviation Services is seeking a consistently hardworking janitorial supervisor committed to reliable quality service, customer relationships, and team building. Based at the McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS).

This position requires an open and flexible work schedule, 7 days a week, including weekends and some holidays.

• Janitorial/Facility cleaning of hangers and FBOs, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm, Monday - Friday

The Janitorial Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining safety and operational excellence. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the supervisor oversees safety measures, scheduling, staffing, supplies, documentation, quality control, training, and client communication. Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, managing daily operations, and ensuring high-quality service. The role involves frequent interaction with the Safety Department, accurate documentation, proactive problem-solving, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety and Compliance:

• Promote a safety culture and ensure adherence to safety expectations.
• Serve as the safety ambassador onsite, liaising with the Safety Department.
• Disseminate safety findings weekly via HIT Form and ensure compliance with safety policy 700.
• Evaluate jobsite safety, report hazards, and incident management proactively.

Scheduling and Attendance:

• Finalize and share weekly schedules by Sunday 8 PM, adjusting as needed.
• Maintain attendance records and document tardiness/absences.

Staffing and Performance Management:

• Forecast hiring needs and assist in interviews.
• Conduct quarterly reviews, address staff issues, and host monthly morale meetings.

Supply and Equipment Management:

• Ensure supplies are stocked, order proactively, and manage inventory audits.

Documentation and Administration:

• Audit forms, submit payroll and expenses timely, and manage PTO requests.

Quality Control:

• Maintain quality standards, conduct audits, and meet quality score targets.

Training and Development:

• Provide training, develop plans for new hires, and coordinate recurrent training.

Communication and Reporting:

• Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, manage client updates, and ensure professionalism.

Vehicle Management:

• Audit vehicles, ensure legal compliance, and manage basic maintenance and accident protocols.

Operational Support:

• Assist with pop-up jobs, participate in committees, and share sales leads.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• 100% checklist compliance and no quality complaints.
• Achievement of revenue goals and positive customer feedback.
• Less than 35% annual full-time turnover.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of safety regulations and operational best practices.
• Managerial experience with safety, scheduling, staffing, and quality control.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in documentation, payroll, and inventory tracking.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Management, Safety, or related field.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred, physically capable, with open schedule.
• Relevant safety and management certifications are a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Travel and overnight stays required.
• Flexible hours, on-call availability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and twist.
• Work 8-10 hours daily with high attention to detail.
• Must be medically cleared to operate machinery and perform physical work.
• Excellent communication skills and reliable cell phone contact.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Compensation

• Non-exempt status.
• Benefits after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
• 401K with company match after 1 year.
• PTO, full-time position, $22.00-$24.00/hr.
