The Brookline DPW is seeking an experienced Utilities Working Foreperson to lead a crew in maintaining and repairing the town’s water, sewer, and drainage systems. This hands‑on role involves supervising a team and performing field work, including emergency response, equipment operation, and construction support.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of experience in water and sewer maintenance, construction, and snow/ice removal, including supervisory experience. A valid Massachusetts Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B, is required. The ideal candidate has knowledge of water, sewer, and drainage systems, excavation practices, construction oversight, and safety procedures, with the ability to lead crews, communicate clearly, and operate heavy equipment safely.
