Global Response Team in Tampa, FL is hiring for a skilled tradesman and supervisor in a commercial construction role. The position blends hands-on finish work with project supervision, including vendor coordination, procurement, on-site oversight, and quality control.

Required are leadership experience, ability to travel within Florida and possibly other states, and proof you can pass a background check and work legally in the United States. This is not an entry-level role.

Job description

We are looking to hire someone for a commercial construction position in the Tampa, FL metro. Time will be split between performing construction tasks with an emphasis on finish work (drywall, painting, acoustic ceilings, trim carpentry, framing, etc.) and project supervision tasks (vendor locating, coordination, material procurement, on-site supervision, inspection oversight, quality control, etc.). The applicant will need to be self-sufficient in how to problem solve and work within in a variety of trades listed below. The applicant will be based out of Tampa, FL but some travel throughout Florida and possibly other states may be required.

This is not an entry-level position or apprentice position.

We're hiring skilled tradesmen and supervisors.

Applicant needs to be proficient at the following construction trades:

• Rough and finish carpentry.
• Casework / millwork installation.
• Drywall installation.
• Drywall finishing.
• Painting.
• Caulking.
• Window and door installation.
• Metal framing.
• Acoustic ceilings.
• Minor electrical.
• Minor plumbing.
• More construction-related tasks as needed.
• Wallpaper and flooring experience preferred.
• Restoration construction / reconstruction experience preferred.
• Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor is required.

Job Type:

Salary:

$72,800 to $83,200, plus bonuses.
