Job summary

Global Response Team in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled tradesman and supervisor for a commercial construction role split between finish work and project oversight. You will perform drywall, carpentry, painting, and related tasks while coordinating vendors, materials, and on‑site crews.

The position requires leadership experience, strong communication with clients and subcontractors, and the ability to work independently across multiple trades.

Qualifications

• Not an entry‑level role; skilled tradesman or supervisor is required.
• Proficiency in multiple listed trades and self‑sufficiency in problem solving.
• Experience leading crews or supervising construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Split duties between finish work (drywall, painting, ceilings, trim) and project supervision (vendor locating, material procurement, on‑site supervision).
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, suppliers and management; supervise crews and inspect work quality.
• Travel throughout Florida and possibly other states; maintain a positive, self‑motivated work ethic.

Job description

We are looking to hire someone for a commercial construction position in the Tampa, FL metro. Time will be split between performing construction tasks with an emphasis on finish work (drywall, painting, acoustic ceilings, trim carpentry, framing, etc.) and project supervision tasks (vendor locating, coordination, material procurement, on‑site supervision, inspection oversight, quality control, etc.). The applicant will need to be self‑sufficient in how to problem solve and work within in a variety of trades listed below. The applicant will be based out of Tampa, FL but some travel throughout Florida and possibly other states may be required.

The applicant must be a great communicator with clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and company management. Applicants must be self‑motivated and self‑sufficient when it comes to all construction tasks. Applicants must also maintain a positive attitude. This is not an entry‑level position or apprentice position. We're hiring skilled tradesmen and supervisors.

Applicant needs to be proficient at the following construction trades:

• Rough and finish carpentry.
• Casework / millwork installation.
• Drywall installation.
• Drywall finishing.
• Painting.
• Caulking.
• Window and door installation.
• Metal framing.
• Acoustic ceilings.
• Minor electrical.
• Minor plumbing.
• More construction‑related tasks as needed.
• Wallpaper and flooring experience preferred.
• Restoration construction / reconstruction experience preferred.
• Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor is required.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be able to pass a background check and be legal to work in the United States.
