Job Summary: Workforce Development (WFD) Instructors are hired to teach on an as-needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education or a related field. Two or more years of adult teaching experience.

Hiring Range: $25.00/hour

Preferred Qualifications: Professional Secondary Teaching license

Job Specific Task List:

• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to teach adult and non-traditional students high school equivalency exam (GED) content areas using proven successful contextualized and accelerated approaches focused on college and career readiness.
• Participate in a collaborative instructional program, including curriculum, syllabi, and lesson plan development aligned with GED exams.
• Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills through instruction and student interactions.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and team meetings to improve skills and share resources.
• Deliver instruction through various modes to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Document and assess student progress toward mastery of PA Academic and CCR Standards, providing ongoing feedback.
• Administer assessments like TABE, interpret results, and collaborate on remediation strategies.
• Maintain daily attendance records and complete weekly tracking.
• Exercise professionalism and foster an inclusive environment respecting all backgrounds.
• Strive for teaching excellence, applying best practices and encouraging student success and retention.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the GED Coordinator.

Job Type: Part-Time (less than 1,000 hours)
