Job summary

La Casa Norte is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Program Supervisor to lead the implementation of our youth workforce development program in Chicago. You will mentor youth aged 16-24 across the West, Southwest, and South Side communities, implement the curriculum, manage partner relationships, recruit participants, and provide direct supervision.

This is a full-time role with a salary range of $50,000–$60,000.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, public administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in program management or supervisory roles, preferably within non-profit or community-based organizations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency in digital tools for community engagement; and understanding of at-risk youth challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of four 13‑week cohorts, each with ten youth and 195 programming hours per cohort.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise youth; monitor progress and coordinate training and support services; process payroll.
  • Engage with local communities to build partnerships for career exposure, programming, and services.
  • Refine and enhance the curriculum with educators and experts focusing on outreach, engagement, and career development.
  • Track metrics, prepare reports for stakeholders, and evaluate program effectiveness.

Job Summary

La Casa Norte is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Program Supervisor to lead the implementation of our youth workforce development program. This position is ideal for a candidate passionate about mentoring youth aged 16-24 in the West, Southwest, and South Side communities of Chicago. The role will be instrumental in implementing the program’s curriculum, managing partner relationships, recruiting youth participants, and providing direct supervision to them. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Oversee the execution of four consecutive 13-week cohorts, each consisting of ten youth, ensuring a total of 195 hours of programming per cohort.
  • Participant Management and Oversight: Recruit, train, and supervise youth participating in the cohorts. Monitor participants' progress, ensure they receive training and support services, and process their payroll.
  • Community Engagement: Lead efforts to engage with local communities, fostering partnerships to provide youth with career exposure, programming, and support services.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with educators and experts to refine and enhance the program’s curriculum, focusing on peer outreach, community engagement, support services, and career development.
  • Reporting & Evaluation: Track program metrics, prepare reports for stakeholders, and continuously assess the program’s effectiveness and impact.

Supervisory and Non-Union Classification Justification
  • Managerial Exclusion: The Programs Manager has hiring, supervision, evaluation, and discipline authority over multiple staff roles and provides strategic direction in operational planning.
  • Supervisory Exclusion: The position includes direct supervision of staff and vendors, assignment of work, and oversight of work quality and performance.
