Job summary

Leonard Law Group in Chicago is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation trial attorney who can independently manage a litigation caseload from open to close, advocating for clients through all stages of the claims process.

You will manage your own caseload of workers' compensation matters, build the litigation plan, take treater and IME depositions, negotiate with adjusters and opposing counsel, appear before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission, try cases, and maintain regular

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience litigating workers' compensation cases
• Licensed in Illinois (Indiana admissions a plus)
• Spanish fluency is a plus, not required

Job description

Leonard Law Group is an established plaintiff-side injury firm founded 30 years ago to represent injured workers. We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation trial attorney who can independently manage a litigation caseload and advocate for our clients through all stages of the claims process.

This is not a training role. Candidates should be capable of independently managing a workers' compensation litigation caseload.

THE ROLE

You will manage your own caseload of workers' compensation matters from open to close. Responsibilities include building the litigation plan, taking treater and IME depositions, negotiating with adjusters and opposing counsel, appearing before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission, trying cases, and maintaining regular communication with your clients.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3-5+ years of experience litigating workers' compensation cases
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed in Illinois. Indiana admissions is a plus
• Sharp analytical thinking and sound judgment on case value
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to responsive client communication.
• Self-motivated and career-minded
• Spanish fluency is a plus, not a requirement
