Job description

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for a Remote Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster with our client. As a member of our client’s claims team, utilize your knowledge of workers’ compensation to independently investigate, evaluate, and resolve assigned claims to achieve appropriate outcomes. In this position, you will administer and resolve claims in a timely manner in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines.

Workers Compensation Lost Time Claims Adjuster Responsibilities
  1. Investigate claims as reported and determine injured worker’s eligibility for workers’ compensation benefits.
  2. Administer indemnity and medical benefits for valid workers’ compensation claims.
  3. Manage the progression of the claims process through collaboration with physicians, nurses, attorneys, and other parties as needed.
  4. Handle all files within state statutes, client’s claims handling guidelines, and best practices.
Experience
  1. At least 1 year of experience handling lost-time/indemnity claims as a workers’ compensation claims adjuster.
  2. Previous experience handling North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Connecticut, or Delaware lost-time claims.
Licensing
  • An active North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Connecticut, or Delaware adjuster license is required.
Education
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
