Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Loss Time Adjuster to join its client team. The role involves taking ownership of employee injury claims, investigating events, and determining eligible benefits through to resolution.

The position focuses on indemnity and some medical claims, with heavy phone work, contact with injured workers and employers, and coordination of payments and settlements. Midwest experience is a preferred plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of loss time adjusting experience in Indiana and Iowa.
• Experience with loss time adjusting in Midwest states is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate new and existing claims and determine benefits to be paid.
• Handle indemnity claims and some medical claims.
• Contact injured workers or employers by phone and review medical information.
• Prepare claim summaries and manage settlements or litigation issues as needed.
• Extensive phone work and customer service.

A customer of Insight Global is looking to onboard a Loss time adjuster to their team. When an employee has an injury in a workplace, a claim is filed. The loss time adjuster takes ownership of this claim and investigates what happened. They determine which benefits should be paid and they follow the claim until it reaches the best possible resolution.

Day to Day- Investigate new and existing claims- Handle mostly indemnity claims & some medical claims- Call injured workers or employers- Review medical information- Pay benefits as appropriate- Pay lost wages- May involve dealing with lawyers- Address litigation or settlement issues- Prepare claim summaries- Lots of phone work/customer service

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves- 1+ years of experience loss time adjusting in Indiana and IowaPlusses- Experience with loss time adjusting in Midwest states
