Job summary

Haight, Brown & Bonesteel LLP, a well-established civil defense litigation firm with offices throughout California, seeks an attorney to add to the team in our Workers’ Compensation practice group. This position can be in either our Sacramento office or our other offices in San Diego, Los Angeles, Walnut Creek or Irvine.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation including taking depositions and making appearances at the WCAB
• Assume responsibility for cases at all levels of complexity
• Communicate effectively with clients
• Develop strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases
• Negotiate and settle cases-in-chief as well as liens
• Draft pleadings and reports
• Depose applicants and physicians

Qualifications:

Annual base salary: $155,000 to $195,000, set by demonstrated ability and level of responsibility rather than tenure, plus a $20,000 annual bonus for attorneys who exceed the firm’s quarterly billable hour requirements.
