Job summary

Stealth Law Firm in New York seeks a Workers' Compensation Attorney (Plaintiff/ Applicant side) to manage a busy caseload from intake through resolution and to advocate for clients at hearings and proceedings before the Workers' Compensation Board. The ideal candidate holds a JD, NY Bar admission, 4+ years in workers' compensation or related practice, strong litigation and negotiation skills, and excellent communication.

Spanish proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar.
• 4+ years of workers' compensation or related practice experience.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Spanish proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from intake through resolution.
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and proceedings before the Workers' Compensation Board.
• Draft and review legal documents, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and stay current on New York workers' compensation law and regulations.
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and insurance carriers.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for maximum client benefits.

Title: Workers' Compensation Attorney (Plaintiff/ Applicant side)

About the firm:

We are a thriving New York-based law firm (40+ Attorneys, 3 offices). We are a plaintiff-focused law firm representing clients in personal injury, no-fault, and workers’ compensation cases

Day-to-Day Responsibility:

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from intake through resolution
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and proceedings before the Workers' Compensation Board
• Draft and review legal documents, motions, briefs, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research and stay current on New York workers' compensation law and regulations
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and insurance carriers
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for maximum client benefits

Qualification:

• 4+ years of prior experience in workers' compensation or related practice area required

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 – $250,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
