Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Active NY State Bar admission.
• Prior experience in workers' compensation, personal injury, or related practice area required.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with strong organizational skills.
• Compassionate, client-focused demeanor with a commitment to zealous representation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from intake through resolution
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and proceedings before the Workers' Compensation Board
• Draft and review legal documents, motions, briefs, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research and stay current on New York workers' compensation law and regulations
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and insurance carriers
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for maximum client benefits
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management
