Workers' Compensation Associate #ESF7264

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a nationally recognized litigation defense team specializing in workers’ compensation law. Ideal for a California-barred attorney with at least one year of experience in workers’ compensation defense, you will collaborate with seasoned litigators, enhance your courtroom skills, and manage a diverse caseload. Responsibilities include managing discovery, representing clients at hearings, developing litigation strategies, and maintaining client communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage written discovery, depositions, and case evaluations
  • Represent employers and insurers in workers’ compensation matters
  • Attend Workers' Compensation Appeals Board hearings and mediations
  • Develop litigation strategies and communicate proactively with clients
  • Collaborate with lead attorneys on case management and resolution
Qualifications:
  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
  • Experience or willingness to learn in workers’ compensation defense
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage files independently while contributing to a team
  • Prior experience in insurance defense or subrogation is a plus
