Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney in Jackson, MS to join our team. The candidate should have 3–5 years of practice experience and be licensed to practice law in Mississippi or have pending bar results.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required; Mississippi bar license or pending results.
• 3–5 years of practice experience, preferably in workers' compensation/insurance defense.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess new files to formulate action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events with thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.
