Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited school.
  • Active Florida State Bar in good standing; multi-state licensure preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ year of workers' compensation experience.
  • Strong client service and communications skills.
  • Excellent writing and oral advocacy abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery, and memoranda.
  • Guide claimants through the workers' compensation case process.
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses and prepare reports and affidavits.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.

Summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Workers Compensation team in our Naples office. The Workers Compensation Associate Attorney will support fellow Attorneys with a heavy and complex case-load of Workers Compensation casesl, and will benefit from working at the firm with the largest marketing budget in this space. You will learn how M&M handles Workers Compensation cases and how we maximize the best result for the claimants. Our lawyers work the best cases, with close to unlimited resources, and alongside world-class trial Attorneys.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
  • Guide claimants through the case process
  • Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
  • Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and appearances.
Qualifications
  • Law degree from a fully accredited law school
  • An active member in good standing with the FL State Bar Association. Multiple State Bar Licenses preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ years of workers compensation experience
  • Ability to manage high volume of cases through full life cycle
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
  • Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
