Job summary

Doctors On Duty in Salinas, CA is seeking a flexible Urgent Care physician for full-time or part-time work with a strong background in Workers’ Compensation, urgent care, and family medicine. You will deliver timely care for non-life-threatening conditions and manage work-related injuries in compliance with California guidelines.

The role includes occupational health assessments, collaboration with case managers, employers, and insurers, and on-site clinic duties.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active California Medical License in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in urgent care or occupational medicine preferred.
• Experience with California Workers’ Compensation regulations and documentation.
• DEA license and current BLS certification required.
• Familiarity with EHR systems (EPIC a plus).
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of non-emergency medical conditions.
• Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Perform employment-related physicals (pre-employment, DOT, return-to-work, etc.).
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient and compliant workflows.
• Communicate with case managers, employers, and insurance adjusters as needed.
• Document all encounters using EHR in a timely and accurate manner.
• Adhere to clinic protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
