You will own the end-to-end strategy, performance, and evolution of a critical portfolio, working across underwriting, actuarial, claims, and distribution to drive growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Workers’ Compensation insurance (product, underwriting, or actuarial background).
• Proven track record managing product performance and driving profitable growth.
• Deep understanding of regulatory environments and rate/rule filings.
• Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Workers’ Compensation portfolio.
• Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Lead product innovation, enhancements, and positioning strategies.
• Monitor key metrics including loss ratio, premium growth, and retention.
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions to optimize results.
• Deliver regular insights and reporting to senior leadership.
• Ensure all products meet state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Stay ahead of regulatory changes and assess business impact.
• Partner with legal and compliance teams on filings and governance.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, and distribution teams.
• Support go-to-market execution and internal product education.
• Act as a key point of contact for brokers, agents, and external stakeholders.
• Support pricing strategy through financial analysis and profitability assessments.
• Partner with actuarial teams to refine models and rate adequacy.
