Job summary

RAWLE & HENDERSON LLP in Philadelphia seeks a Paralegal with at least one year of Workers' Compensation defense experience for our Workers' Compensation Department. The role includes compiling evidence, preparing documents for attorneys, calendar management, and coordinating depositions.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate, strong attention to detail, proficiency in MS Office, and a commitment to excellent client service in a busy defense practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate and a minimum of one year of insurance defense and WICAS experience required.
• Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
• High attention to detail, dependability and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Compiling evidence and supporting information for cases.
• Reviewing and responding to case developments as they occur.
• Preparing legal documents for attorney’s approval and use.
• Maintaining case databases and ensuring information accuracy.
• Maintaining technical knowledge and contributing to team effort.
• Managing the case calendar, files, and documents.
• Organizing pleadings, discovery, medical/vocational records, subpoenas and reports.
• Scheduling depositions of experts and witnesses and drafting subpoenas.
• Working closely with attorneys to resolve issues in a timely manner.
