Job summary

AvonRisk, the nation’s leading specialty risk manager, seeks an entry-level Claims Support Clerk in California. This role provides clerical operations support to assigned Claims Specialists, handling files, notices, and routine communications to keep claims moving efficiently.

You will work closely with the Claims team to process payments, prepare documents, schedule calls, and respond to provider inquiries.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to perform clerical tasks with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new claims files.
• Calculate benefits including TTD, Wage Loss, VRMA and PD.
• Issue compensation payments on diary schedule.
• Issue Benefit Notices and handle doctor status calls.
• Contact employer about light duty or modified work.
• Collaborate with Claims Specialist to complete clerical tasks.
• Prepare litigation and rehabilitation documents for filing.
• Handle provider inquiries and manage mail and direct pays.
