Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or GED.
• 5 to 8 years claims handling experience with WC regulations and case law.
• Strong litigation management, negotiation, and settlement skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Leadership, coaching, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental objectives aligned with company goals.
• Lead WCC department goals and staff development.
• Use QA and KPI reports to maximize performance and address issues.
• Lead team meetings and trainings with staff coaching.
• Direct claims staff through technical aspects to close cases.
• Collaborate with NJM legal, SIU, and Medical Services to resolve cases timely.
• Provide diary management and guidance, negotiate settlements within authority.
• Maintain case reserves for 90 Day and Credit Reviews.
• Assist with Claim Reviews and large account management with Claim Account teams.
• Maintain knowledge of jurisdictional requirements and case law for each state served.
