Job summary

Focus Cloud Group is partnering with a hospitality and franchise organization to recruit a Workday Payroll Systems Manager in the Greater Cleveland area. • Strong understanding of Payroll Systems, troubleshooting and operational support.
• Ability to partner with HR, Finance, Legal and IT to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
• Experience leading projects, managing priorities and driving continuous system improvement.

We’re partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing, multi-brand hospitality and franchise organization to recruit a Workday Payroll Systems Manager to lead the ongoing management, optimization and evolution of its Workday Payroll platform.

With more than 75,000 employees across 2,600+ locations, our client is approaching Workday Payroll go‑live following a major SAP to Workday transformation. This is a rare opportunity to join ahead of go‑live, complete a comprehensive knowledge transfer with the current incumbent, and take ownership of the platform as it enters its next phase.

This is a hybrid role based in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area, offering the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and key business stakeholders in a collaborative environment. Candidates within commuting distance are preferred, although relocation support may be considered for exceptional candidates.

This is not a traditional Payroll Manager position focused on payroll processing. Instead, you’ll lead the Workday Payroll Systems team, partnering with HR, Finance, Legal and IT to oversee production support, enhancements, testing, optimization and the future roadmap, while managing a team of Workday Payroll Systems Specialists and Analysts.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience supporting and optimizing Workday Payroll
• Good understanding of PATT, including how Workday Absence and Time Tracking integrate with Payroll and their upstream/downstream impacts
• Experience leading or managing Payroll Systems, HRIS or Workday teams
• Experience supporting Workday Payroll production, testing, releases and ongoing system enhancements
• Strong understanding of Payroll Systems, troubleshooting and operational support
• Ability to partner with HR, Finance, Legal and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions
• Experience leading projects, managing priorities and driving continuous system improvement
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting a Workday implementation or post‑go‑live optimization would be highly desirable
