The Workday Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting integrations between Workday and external systems. This role ensures seamless and secure data flow across platforms, supporting business operations and system integrity.
This is a remote role, but you must reside in one of these 8 states: Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Licensure/Certification/Registry
- Required: Workday HCM Certification, Workday Integration Certification
- Desired: Workday Extend, Human Capital Management, Payroll, Reporting and Analytics, Security, and Platform Administrators Certifications
Experience
- 3+ years of Workday integration development experience with hands-on expertise in Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Web Services (SOAP/REST)
- Strong understanding of XML, XSLT, SOAP, and REST web services
- Experience supporting integrations for Payroll, Benefits, Financial, Supply Chain, and other HCM systems
- Experience troubleshooting complex integrations and working with middleware platforms
- Ability to document technical processes and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain scalable integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Web Services
- Manage data flows between Workday and third-party systems
- Implement and support integrations leveraging PECI, PICOF, CCB, XSLT, and RaaS
- Monitor schedules, handle errors, and ensure data synchronization
- Troubleshoot failures and resolve data mismatches
- Maintain documentation and adhere to best practices
- Support data transformation and optimize integration performance
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards
- Support Workday releases and updates, conducting impact assessments and regression testing
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to agile planning
