Responsibilities

• Design and develop Workday integrations using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and PECI.
• Build inbound and outbound integrations with payroll, benefits, IT provisioning, finance, and analytics systems.
• Develop XSLT mappings with reusable templates and thorough test coverage.
• Implement integrations using REST and SOAP web services where appropriate.
• Design error handling, retries, and notification strategies for reliable operations.
• Create and maintain integration system users, security configurations, and tenant setup.
• Develop calculated fields, custom reports, and report-as-a-service integrations.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, IT, and finance stakeholders to translate business needs into integration designs.
• Maintain thorough technical documentation for architecture, runbooks, and procedures.
• Support production incidents and drive durable fixes.
• Participate in release planning and regression testing to minimize drift.
• Stay current with Workday releases and platform evolution.

Job Summary

We are looking for aWorkday Integration Engineerto design, develop, andmaintainintegrations between Workday and the broader enterprise application landscape. The role focuses on hands-on integration delivery using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday APIs, with strong attention to reliability, security, and data quality. The ideal candidate has shipped meaningful Workday integrations in production, navigates Workday’s tenant model and security framework with confidence, and writes well-structured Studio integrations that are easy tomaintain. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineeredsolutions, andwill be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers. The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, anda track recordof shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Workday integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and PECI.
• Build inbound and outbound integrations connecting Workday with payroll, benefits, IT provisioning, finance, and analytics systems.
• Develop XSLT transformations within Workday Studio integrations,applyingdisciplined templating practices, reusable helper libraries, and careful test coverage to keep complex mappings maintainable.
• Implement integrations using Workday REST and SOAP web services whereappropriate.
• Design error handling, retry, and notification strategies that ensure reliableintegrationoperations.
• Develop andmaintainintegrationsystem users, ISSGs, security configurations, and tenant-level setup for integrations.
• Build andmaintaincalculated fields, custom reports, and report-as-a-service integrations.
• Implement Workday business processes and condition rules that support integration logic, ensuring the upstream and downstream sides of each integration agree on routing, approvals, and state transitions.
• Participate actively in Workday tenant refresh planning and integration regression testing, ensuring critical integration paths are exercised in lower environments before each tenantmoveand any drift is caught early.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, IT, and finance stakeholders to translate business needs into integration designs.
• Maintain comprehensive, current technical documentation — including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures — so that the systemremainssupportable, auditable, and easy to onboard new engineers onto over time.
• Support production incidents related to integrations and drive durable fixes.
• Participate in Workday release planning and regression testing, reviewing upcoming feature changes for impact, scheduling validation cycles, and coordinating with stakeholders so adoptionproceedssmoothly.
• Stay current with Workday product releases and integration platform evolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, ora relatedfield.
• Five or more years of Workday integration development experience.
• Deepexpertisein EIB, Workday Studio, and Core Connectors.
• Strong XSLT skills and experience with Workday Studio orchestrations.
• Hands-on experience with Workday REST/SOAP APIs.
• Strong understanding of the Workday data model and tenant configuration.
• Experience with Workday securitymodelincluding ISU/ISSG patterns.
• Familiarity with calculated fields and custom report design.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Pro Integrations certification.
• Experience with PICOF, PECI, or Cloud Connect for Payroll.
• Familiarity with Workday Extend.
• Exposure tomulti-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
• Experience integrating Workday with major SaaS platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce).
