Job description

The City of Milwaukee is seeking a Certified Project Manager IV / Sr. to oversee the Workday implementation project, focusing on the Time Tracking module.

Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate with City employees and external vendors to document current business processes.
  2. Schedule and facilitate meetings with agendas to meet project deadlines.
  3. Ensure accurate capture of Time Tracking needs in Workday configuration.
  4. Assist with End-to-End Testing and coordinate updates with the Implementation Vendor.
  5. Respond efficiently to email requests, organize documentation, and communicate effectively under stress.
Required Skills & Experience:
  1. Workday implementation experience (3 years).
  2. Workday Time Tracking experience (3 years).
  3. Experience in IT project management (5 years).
  4. PMP Certification.
Nice to Have Skills:
  1. Planning and documenting project tasks (2 years).
  2. Risk assessment and proposing solutions (2 years).
  3. Developing activity and resource plans (2 years).
Additional Details:
  • Interview process: 45-minute Teams meeting.
  • Contract duration: 20 hours/week through December 31, 2025, with possible extension.
  • Location: 100% remote within the United States; no residency requirement.
  • Project context: Replacing PeopleSoft with Workday for HR, Payroll, and Financials.
