GEICO is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Workday Financials team. This position involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying integrations using Workday core tools. You will contribute to our insurance business transformation, shifting from traditional IT to a tech-driven organization focused on engineering excellence, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.

The Senior Engineer will work across the organization to ensure a frictionless customer experience and maintain high standards of protection and availability. Our team delivers high-quality technology products in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge in Workday Financials, Integrations, PRISM, Reporting, and Accounting Center.

Position Responsibilities

• Manage system integrations within the Workday Financial architecture.
• Support and develop Workday inbound and outbound integrations.
• Define products and leverage technical skills for optimal solutions.
• Collaborate across teams throughout the software lifecycle.
• Lead design sessions and code reviews to improve engineering quality.
• Ensure data and application integrity through analysis, coding, and documentation.
• Translate business and functional specifications into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and support solutions using Workday tools.
• Develop interfaces and conduct tests.
• Stay updated on tech trends, participate in communities, and mentor others.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Workday integrations, PRISM, and Accounting Center in the financial domain.
• Proficiency with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST).
• Strong XML and XLST skills.
• Knowledge of Workday development tools (EIB, Studio, Report Writer, BIRT).
• Experience designing complex integrations and creating calculated fields.
• Ability to develop scalable, resilient, and available systems.
• Understanding of monitoring tools and concepts.
• Experience in system architecture and design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Experience
