GEICO is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Workday Financials team. This role involves design, development, testing, and deployment of integrations using Workday core tools. You will contribute to our insurance business transformation, moving from traditional IT to a tech-driven organization focused on engineering excellence, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.

The Senior Engineer will work across the organization to ensure high standards of protection, availability, and a frictionless customer experience. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of Workday Financials, Integrations, PRISM, Reporting, and Accounting Center.

Position Responsibilities

• Manage system integrations within the Workday Financial architecture.
• Support and develop Workday inbound/outbound integrations.
• Define products and leverage technical skills for optimal solutions.
• Collaborate across teams throughout the software lifecycle.
• Lead design sessions and code reviews to improve engineering quality.
• Ensure data and application integrity through analysis, coding, and documentation.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and support solutions using Workday tools.
• Develop interfaces and conduct testing.
• Stay updated on tech trends, participate in communities, and mentor others.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Workday integrations, PRISM, and Accounting Center processes with financial domain expertise.
• Proficiency with Web Services, APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST), XML, XLST.
• Knowledge of Workday development tools (EIB, Workday Studio, Report Writer, BIRT).
• Experience designing and maintaining complex integrations.
• Skilled in creating complex calculated fields.
• Experience with scalable, resilient, highly available systems.
• Understanding of monitoring tools and concepts.
• Experience architecting systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools and processes.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently and collaboratively.

Experience & Education

• 4+ years of software development within Workday Ecosystem.
• 3+ years in architecture and design.
• 2+ years with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Additional Information

Salary range: $70,000 - $185,000 annually, based on various factors including experience, education, and location.
