Job description

Job Title: Workday Financial Consultant (Contract)

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

Compensation: $40–$50/hour

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Duration: 4-month contract

Our client out of the NPO space is currently seeking a Workday Financial Consultant to support our client through a new implementation of Workday Financials. This is a key project-based role where your expertise will help ensure a smooth transition and successful adoption of the platform across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workday Financials and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment. You’ll play an important role in guiding best practices, offering hands-on support, and partnering with internal stakeholders throughout the implementation process.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Workday Financials during system implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to configure and optimize Workday modules
  • Assist with data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and troubleshooting
  • Support training efforts and offer guidance to internal finance staff
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within the system and recommend enhancements
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience
  • Proven success supporting or leading Workday Financial implementations
  • Strong understanding of core financial processes and reporting
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, hybrid work environment
