Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience with Workday implementation.
  2. At least 3 years of experience with Workday Time Tracking.
  3. Proven ability to collaborate with internal staff and external vendors to document current business processes, including facilitating meetings via Microsoft Teams. Must be able to set agendas and manage discussions to meet project goals and deadlines.
  4. A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management.
  5. Current PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience planning and documenting project tasks aligned with project objectives (2 years).
  2. Ability to identify, evaluate, and recommend solutions for project risks (2 years).
  3. Experience with activity and resource planning based on a Statement of Work (2 years).
Interview Process:

45-minute interview via Microsoft Teams.

Contract Details:

Part-time (20 hours/week), remote position.
Duration: Through December 31, 2025, with possible extension based on project needs.
Open to candidates nationwide; Wisconsin residency not required.

Project Overview:

The City is implementing Workday to replace its current PeopleSoft systems (FMIS/HRMS) for Human Resources, Payroll, and Financials. We seek a certified Project Manager with relevant Workday experience to lead the Time Tracking component. This role involves collaborating with City departments to ensure their time tracking needs are met within Workday, supporting testing, and coordinating with our implementation partner for necessary updates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead efforts to gather and document time tracking needs across departments.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate integration efforts with existing applications, such as:
    • City Time, a custom application requiring integration oversight.
    • UKG TeleStaff, used for scheduling, where Workday integration may be explored.
Additional Qualities:
  • Responsive and reliable in managing stakeholder communication.
  • Detail-oriented in requirements documentation and follow-up.
  • Skilled in maintaining clear communication in fast-paced environments.
