As the Workday Benefits and Compensation Lead, you will serve as the primary functional expert for Moog's global benefits and compensation process within Workday. You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining core HR processes such as open enrollment, profit share, and pay review. You will ensure that Workday functionality aligns with business requirements and compliance standards while driving system enhancements and supporting global HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration of Workday Benefits, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation modules to meet evolving business needs, including position management and organizational changes.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs), Payroll and other stakeholders to implement system upgrades, enhancements, and new features.
- Conduct rigorous testing of system changes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to Moog audit standards. Maintain detailed documentation and perform regular compliance reviews.
- Evaluate Workday release updates, communicate enhancements and bug fixes to CoEs, and develop deployment plans.
- Deliver training sessions for managers and employees, create job aids, and provide ongoing support for Workday functionality and best practices.
- Collaborate with reporting teams to build and analyze Workday reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of functional data and actionable insights.
- Assist in managing the Workday Help queue, ensuring tickets are prioritized and resolved promptly.
- Uphold confidentiality and data security standards for all HR‑related information.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Workday benefits, core compensation, and advanced compensation configuration; at least three (3) years' experience.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, compliance requirements, and employee support best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, influencing and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities to consistently meet critical HR deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Nice to Have
- Workday Benefits and/or Compensation certification.
- Proven experience supporting HR operations in a global organization.
- Skills in developing job aids and contributing to change management initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on data‑driven decision‑making.
- A background in HR Shared Services or experience with tiered support models (Tier 1 and Tier 2).
- Familiarity with case management platforms such as Workday Help, ServiceNow, or equivalent tools.
- An understanding of global HR processes and compliance requirements.

Salary Range Transparency
Buffalo, NY $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
