Title: Workday Analyst – Time & Attendance

Location: 100% Remote (will work CST/CDT hours)

Duration: 6-month contract opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Workday Analyst – Time & Attendance for a 6-month remote contract role (CST/CDT hours). This position will play a key role in transitioning from ADP eTime to Workday Time Tracking across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, ensuring compliance with labor laws, CBAs, and company policies. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence configuration experience, with proven success in system migrations and large-scale HR projects. This role requires strong collaboration with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to design scalable, compliant solutions while supporting testing, integration, and post-go-live optimization.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Capture configuration needs through current system and state analysis
  • Establish configuration and implementation of Workday Time Tracking across the U.S. and Puerto Rico
  • Drive the transition from ADP eTime to Workday, ensuring minimal disruption and high adoption
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable solutions
  • Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate payroll and time data for non-union and union populations
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, union CBA requirements, company policies, and data governance standards
  • Provide post-go-live support and optimization recommendations
  • Configure Workday business processes for time tracking workflows
  • Recommend best practices and manage time entry rules, schedules, and validation criteria
  • Set up time entry validation rules for shift workers to prevent overlapping or missing entries
  • Implement eligibility rules for time calculation based on location and job profile
  • Collaborate on requirement gathering and solutioning of Workday Time Tracking
  • Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to ensure seamless data flows across modules and support integration

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring Workday Modules: Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence.
  • Proven success in transitioning a historical system to Workday.
  • Strong understanding of payroll operations, absence policies, and time tracking workflows within Workday.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Workday HCM or Payroll certification.
  • Experience in large-scale HR systems projects.
  • Familiarity with Workday integrations and reporting tools.
  • Proven success in transitioning from ADP eTime to Workday.
  • Workday Certification
  • Knowledge of ADP eTime and UKG Kronos Time clocks
