Drowning is, unfortunately, the leading cause of accidental death for children. But since 1981, British Swim School has been on a mission to stop that. We are a nationwide company with over 200 locations teaching more than 20,000 students every week to help save lives!

We are currently looking to hire a Swim Safety Expert to help us save little lives.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SWIM SAFETY EXPERT

As a Swim Safety Expert, you will teach students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program and provide customer service that focuses on retention of families through engaging relationships to secure further lesson bookings and to attract new customers. We can train anyone on how to teach the way we teach, but here is what we do need from you:

• You need to be a “swimmer”. Ideally, you have an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water
• You've got to love working with children and seeing them progress
• You need to be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work. Having fun is mandatory!
• Improve British Swim School’s retention rate and avoid drops.
• Deliver the best customer service possible.
• Create positive first impressions, facilitate orientation for new families.
• Ensure proper set-up, maintenance, and break down of on-site marketing and merchandising poolside and throughout the property.
• Manage class schedule, attendance, lesson board, and report attendance (Check students in for swim class and to ensure that children are placed with the proper instructor and communicated on the lesson board)
• Attend staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by the Customer
• Experience Manager.
• Promote sales for new enrollments, twice a week classes, no-drops, and siblings.
• Clear, clean, and organize all appropriate collateral and materials at the end of every shift. Ensure merchandise is properly stocked.
• Assist instructors from the pool deck when they request assistance.
• Report accidents and injuries to the supervisor as soon as possible.
• Check all water quality, temperature, and chemical levels prior to the first scheduled class of the day and re-check periodically.
• Be able to work weekend mornings (Saturday or Sunday or both) from 8:30 am-2 pm
• Be able to start weekdays at 3:30 pm
• You need to be able to reliably commute to our Clifton pool location,n 199 Scoles Ave Clifton, NJ
