Tippecanoe County Government seeks a Work Release Assistant Coordinator to supervise staff and oversee the Community Corrections Work Release Program. The role requires enforcing regulations, coordinating operations, and ensuring safety within the facility.

The candidate will serve as PREA and ACA Compliance Officer, coordinate work crews, and handle payroll and court-related documents. Able to train staff and perform court testimony when required.

Formación

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Certification requirements include First Aid, CPR, Taser, OC spray, Evidence Based certifications; 40 hours of continuing education yearly.
• Ability to pass drug test, background check, and polygraph.
• Knowledge of Community Corrections programs and related policies.
• Familiarity with standard office equipment and reporting procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
• Must be able to safely perform duties including physical tasks and restraining inmates when necessary.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and travel as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Enforces department regulations and completes drug/alcohol assessments for participants.
• Oversees day-to-day Work Release Program operations and maintains a safe facility.
• Supervises personnel, interviews applicants, and makes hiring recommendations.
• Acts as PREA Compliance Officer, reports incidents, and coordinates investigations.
• Acts as ACA Compliance Officer, develops and implements policies to ACA standards.
• Coordinates Work Crew activities and assigns supervising personnel.
• Prepares payroll, reviews timecards, and processes time off.
• Stays current on best practices in corrections and evidence-based approaches.
• Prepares court documents for absconding or violations and files electronically.
• Testifies in court as required and liaises with courts about participants.
• Provides back-up to Work Release Coordinator and performs other duties.
