Job summary

INTREN, LLC is seeking a planning professional in Illinois to assemble information for job pouches and to read civil, architectural, structural, and electrical plans. You will manage SRS outages, build and progress work orders, and generate reports across several systems.

The role requires strong communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills, plus knowledge of electrical distribution practices and ComEd tools. Field experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires effective oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and strong computer literacy.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, Word, Excel and Primavera.
• Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical plans and specs related to electrical/utility work.
• Knowledge of electric or gas distribution design and construction practices.
• Must have ComEd or Electrical Construction Field Experience.
• Ability to build SRS and identify outages and isolation points.
• Ability to use ComEd Asset Suite/Apollo, Cegis Mapping/TED, Hyperion, SRS Scheduling software.
• Basic understanding of Electrical Theory, including distribution and transmission.

• As part of the planning process, acquire permits and order materials as necessary.


• Other duties as assigned by Project or Assistant Project Manager.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and strong computer literacy. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task are essential. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to organize and prioritize work.

• High School Diploma, prefer Associates Degree in Drafting, Engineering, or related field.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Word, Excel and Primavera.


• Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical plans and specifications as they relate to electrical and/or other utility work.


• Knowledge of electric or gas distribution design and construction practices.


• Effective analytical and problem solving skills with great ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
