Job summary

Dairyland is seeking a Work Methods Coordinator to provide enterprise governance and oversight of work processes and tooling across the organization. The role develops and maintains processes, procedures, and field guides to ensure frontline teams perform work safely and efficiently.

You will lead cross-functional teams, evaluate tools, contribute to training, support regulatory readiness, and drive continuous improvement through investigations and action plans.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Technical degree in high voltage work or BS in engineering, physics, and/or mathematics plus seven years in utility engineering, operation, and/or maintenance.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered. At least five years at journeyman level in Transmission/Substation/Generation frontline roles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain work processes, procedures, field procedures, and job aids across Dairyland.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with SMEs on process development and improvement.
  • Identify industry best practices and tools; support evaluation, adoption, and implementation.
  • Represent Dairyland in industry forums and professional organizations.
  • Evaluate, approve, and manage tools; conduct reviews for replacement or recall needs.
  • Create and distribute field bulletins on process and tool changes.
  • Support readiness for regulatory changes impacting processes or tools.
  • Develop and deliver training aligned with work processes and tools.
  • Analyze work processes to identify improvements and action plans.
  • Engage with frontline employees to improve execution, processes, and tools.
  • Support implementation of new processes/tools through training and change management.
  • Participate in event investigations, causal analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Provide process/tool support to member cooperatives as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Hiring Salary Range: $102,400 - $153,600

Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The actual offer may vary, reflecting the candidate's unique blend of experience, educational background, and skill level

PURPOSE :

The primary function of this role is to provide enterprise governance and oversight of work processes and tooling across Dairyland. The Work Methods Coordinator develops and maintains the processes, procedures, and tools needed for frontline employees to perform work safely and efficiently. Working closely with Safety, business units, and frontline employees, this role ensures work methods are practical, effective, and aligned with organizational standards. The position is responsible for evaluating, approving, and managing enterprise tooling, while serving as a subject matter expert who identifies improvement opportunities, solves operational challenges, and supports continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience : Technical degree in high voltage work (Lineworker, Substation Mech) OR Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, physics, and/or mathematics plus seven (7) years' experience in utility engineering, operation, and/or maintenance areas. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. At least five (5) years' experience at a journeyman level (or equivalent) in a Transmission, Substation, or Generation frontline role strongly preferred. Experience utilizing electric utility specific tools and working in common utility environments (generation plant, substation, control room, right-of-way, enclosed space, etc.) Previous leadership experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of Generation, Transmission, and Substation
  • Knowledge of a wide array of tools, including utility specific applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse work groups
  • Computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Etc.)
  • Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills
Licenses and Certifications :
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • CUSP or CLCP preferred
Physical Demands :

Requires near vision and fingering for computer terminal operation. Near and far vision, hearing and the following physical abilities are required for fieldwork: Walk, stand, stoop/crouch, bend, kneel, climb hand-over-hand, crawl, twist upper body, reach/stretch, and object maneuvering.

Environmental Demands :

80% of the time is spent in a climate-controlled office environment, with minimal physical exertion. 20% percent of the time involves fieldwork, with a medium degree of strenuous activity. May work on uneven terrain, significant heights, and in hot, cold, or inclement weather. Possible exposure to noise, harsh environments and unusual heights associated with large-scale construction projects.
