Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Provides continuity, management, oversight, and direction of the Work Control and Outage organizations including responsibility for managing the performance of the Outage Manager and the Work Control Manager.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Direct the online work execution process. Identify process problems and implement corrective actions to address those problems in a timely manner.
  • Participate in various senior management committees and forums (e.g., Trek to Excellence, ITPRC, Plant Health Committee, Senior Site ALARA Committee, etc.)
  • Direct refueling outage preparation, planning, and scheduling while ensuring the status of these activities is accurately communicated to the management team.
  • Participate in key meetings, business planning, budget meetings, and performance review meetings. Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff (e.g., employee development, compensation, performance reviews, etc.). Ensure consistent and effective work force practices through assigned supervisors and functions.
  • Direct the preparation, planning, and scheduling of non-refueling outages (forced, planned, down powers) of current cycle.
  • Oversee Online and Outage Risk Management programs to ensure safe plant operations.
  • Identify and implement industry best practices and programs. Modify Work Management and Outage processes to attain and maintain top quartile performance at the station.
  • Perform routine monitoring and appraisal of the effectiveness of Work Control and Outage processes. Provide feedback to management regarding performance and recommendations for improvement.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university and 10 years work experience in the operating, maintenance, or engineering organizations at a commercial nuclear power plant;
  • OR a high school diploma or GED and 18 years work experience in the operating, maintenance, or engineering organizations at a commercial nuclear power plant ;
  • OR an associate's degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university and 14 years work experience in the operating, maintenance, or engineering organizations at a commercial nuclear power plant.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Active or previous SRO license, SRO certification, or BWR Management Certification. If selected candidate does not meet this, he/she must attend and satisfactorily complete the next Management Cert class provided by EN. This requirement may be waived by the Site Vice President.

Pay Range

$192,178.00 - $240,223.00 Annual The salary listed represents the pay range for this position. Starting pay is calculated from the minimum of the salary range and actual individual placement within the range is determined based on the candidate's experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the role. The level and final offer will also take into account the candidate's overall qualifications.

Incentive Compensation

This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
