Job summary

Fairview is seeking a Telephone Triage Nurse Line Advisor to triage calls from patients, provide information on symptoms, medications, and test results. Training is on-site for 4-6 weeks, then remote work within driving distance of Saint Paul, MN.

This 0.35 FTE evening shift includes every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota RN License.
• 3+ years RN work experience.
• Wisconsin RN License; application submitted within 30 days of hire and obtained within 120 days of hire.
• Computer skills: able to document reliably in electronic health record software.
• RN Triage experience.

Responsibilities

• Triages calls from patients about symptoms, refills, test results and facility information.
• Provide timely and appropriate responses using nursing protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Prioritize calls based on patient needs and maintain professional demeanor.
• Support callers through the health care system and improve satisfaction.

On the Telephone Triage Nurse Line Advisor with Fairview, that's what we do! Join other nursing professionals in an encouraging environment where we support each other. We are adding new positions due to growth.

Training: Training for this position requires flexibility to work full time (1.0 FTE) on-site for 4-6 weeks. Our training shifts are variable including days, mid-shift, evenings, and weekends.

Following training, we work remotely. The work from home location is required to be within driving distance from Midway Corporate Campus in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Schedule: This opening is 0.35 FTE (28 hours per two weeks) on our EVENING shift with an EVERY OTHER weekend rotation.

Week 1: Thursday 6p – 10p;
Week 2: Mon/Fri: 6p – 10p;
Sat/Sun: 4:30p – 1a

As RN Advisors, we independently triage calls from patients inquiring about their symptoms, medication refills, test results, and information regarding our facilities. We handle approximately 6 calls per hour with calls lasting 6-9 minutes in duration. We are advocates, assisting callers through the health care system.

Responsibilities include:

• Accountable for quality assessment;
  efficient management ofcare and client happiness.
• Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in triaging callers properly such that all callers receive a timely and appropriate response.
• Focus on callers, maintain a professional demeanor, and continuously implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
• Collect information regarding concerns, medical history and description of symptoms via the telephone using the nursing process.
• Use symptom-based protocols to systematically assess, address needs and provide education.
• Prioritize calls based on patients needs.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing

Qualifications

$39.28- $55.45 Hourly
