Overview

Work From Home, Principal Associate- Card Supply Chain Risk Management. This role is within Capital One's Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) and Well-Managed Solutions (WMS). The PA will support risk management for the card operations supply chain, including design/operating effectiveness testing for automated/hybrid/manual controls, and collaboration across first and second lines to influence results and risk posture.

Eligibility: candidates must live within a 100 mile radius of one of the following locations and report in person when required with at least 24 hours notice (CA excluded).

Responsibilities
  • Lead core responsibilities related to developing and BAU risk management of the physical card/plastics supply chain process
  • Maintain process scoping and documentation for the process
  • Lead design, development and continuous evolution of SCS manual and automated/hybrid controls for 2nd line validations and OE testing oversight
  • Provide scheduling management for daily, monthly, and annual controls execution
  • Provide back up training for controls within SCS
  • Perform complex review of automated system logics (interfaces, calculations, edit checks, input/out controls) to ensure appropriate design and implementation
  • Create and maintain testing support documentation (workpapers, testing reports) and write findings/issues for reporting
  • Cross-functional experience in testing manual and automated/hybrid controls
  • Assess Design and Operating Effectiveness of automated/hybrid/operational controls in adherence with standards
  • Identify internal control weaknesses and recommend remediation
  • Partner cross-functionally to evolve control performance; build relationships with stakeholders
  • Support Well Managed initiative to drive sustainability, simplification/automation, ownership through transparency, and strengthen control ecosystem
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 3 years of experience in Risk Management
  • At least 3 years of experience with card/plastics operations or supply chain
  • At least 3 years of experience in Audit or Compliance Control Testing
  • At least 3 years of experience in Process Management
  • At least 2 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Control Testing or Internal Audit
  • At least 5 years of experience with card/plastics operations or supply chain
  • At least 4 years of automated controls testing experience
  • At least 3 years of Financial Services industry experience
  • At least 3 years of regulatory compliance or credit experience
  • At least 4 years of Risk Management experience
  • At least 2 years of consulting experience
Work from Home Technology Requirements
  • A secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions
  • A reliable private internet connection not supplied via cellular data or hotspot
  • A private network that is password protected with ownership/visibility to devices
  • Internet service provided by Cable or Fiber ISP; hotspots and satellite services are prohibited
  • ISP download speeds on VPN at least 5 Mbps (10 Mbps preferred)
  • Validation guidance via Chrome browser speed test
  • Hardwire and WiFi acceptable if speed and security requirements are met

Salary information is provided by location and may include a base range ($106,700 - $121,700) for Principal Risk Specialist in specified locations. Salaries for other locations will reflect respective pay ranges. This role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses or long-term incentives.
