Job summary

ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology, LLC is seeking a Work Clearance Permit Technician to support the KEOS contract at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. The role handles work clearance requests, outage coordination, and related documentation to minimize disruption to utility services.

The position provides admin support and requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to interact with internal teams and government customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum education level of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience using and developing proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe software suites.
• Minimum of three months experience in use of CAD, GIS, or graphic design software.
• Employ excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Be able to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
• Be a critical thinker and possess an eye for detail and the discipline to adhere to standardized procedures.
• Must have proficient English oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with clarity, conciseness, and persuasiveness to employees, management, and customers.
• Must be a US citizen and currently possess or be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Have ability to perform repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 30 lbs.
• Be willing and able to work with customers and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
• Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-construction meetings base-wide and briefs the Work Clearance Request Process, explaining the steps and time required to complete.
• Provide the Work Clearance Request Process to include contact information, AF Form 103 (Dig Permit Request Form) and site plan if needed to the Requestor.
• Receive completed AF Form 103 and site map from the Requestor. Assign a tracking number, note date received, and enter information on the tracking log.
• Create an electronic file of the AF Form 103 by transcribing the information from the AF Form 103 to the newly created electronic file. Generate individual site maps from KAFB GIS Database.
• Coordinate utility outages, including necessary communications with internal and external stakeholders and maintenance of tracking tools.
• Manage all files in an electronic database.
• Communicate with all Coordinating Agencies for approval of requested dig permit and utility outages.
• Monitor status of all outstanding work clearance requests and utility outages daily.
• Upon final approval, notify requestor that the Work Clearance Request (Dig Permit) is ready for pick up.
• Perform routine and emergency miscellaneous drafting requirements upon government request.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology, LLC is seeking a Work Clearance Permit Technician to join our team for the Kirtland Engineering and Operations Support (KEOS) contract at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. KEOS is a base maintenance contract (BMC), also known as a base operations support (BOS) contract.

Job Summary:

The Work Clearance Permit Technician is responsible for the Work Clearance Request, outage notification, the Utility Outage processes and associated documentation to facilitate facility and infrastructure maintenance, repair, and construction activities with minimal disruption to utility services. This position provides administrative support and communication amongst internal management and external government customers. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend pre-construction meetings base-wide and briefs the Work Clearance Request Process, explaining the steps and time required to complete.

• Provides the Work Clearance Request Process to include contact information, AF Form 103 (Dig Permit Request Form) and site plan if needed to the Requestor.

• Receives completed AF Form 103 and site map from the Requestor. Assign a tracking number, note date received, and enter information on the tracking log.

• Create an electronic file of the AF Form 103 by transcribing the information from the AF Form 103 to the newly created electronic file. Generate individual 8 ½ x 11 site utility maps in PDF format for all utilities located with the area of work from KAFB GIS Database with a polygon feature outlining the requested work area to identify the area.

• Coordination of utility outages, including necessary communications with internal and external stakeholders and maintenance of tracking tools, such as spreadsheets, presentations, sharepoint database, and other documentation systems.

• Manage all files in an electronic database.

• Communicate with all Coordinating Agencies for approval of requested dig permit and utility outages.

• Monitor status of all outstanding work clearance requests and utility outages daily. Contact Coordinating Agency regarding status via email and or phone as needed.

• Upon final approval, notify requestor that the Work Clearance Request (Dig Permit) is ready for pick up.

• Perform routine and emergency miscellaneous drafting requirements upon government request.

• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Associate degree in applied science (Architectural/Engineering Drafting Technology).

• Completion of the Environmental Science Research Institute (ESRI) Certified Introduction and Intermediate training in ArcGIS.

• Experience working in Department of Defense or other government environment.
