Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work from blueprints, schedules, shop orders, specification sheets, process instructions, and tests.
  • Review production schedules and arrange for parts, materials, supplies, tooling, gauges, and other equipment to meet production needs.
  • Requisition and store materials.
  • Pass Kan Ban cards to producing departments as per defined procedures.
  • Accumulate and move items between storage areas and work stations.
  • Fill out and submit requisitions, move tickets, finished goods tickets, and scrap tickets.
  • Select, verify, and identify quantities of materials; record shortages or damages.
  • Set up work cell and make necessary adjustments to tools, gauges, and equipment.
  • Perform operational checks and monitor work to maintain quality standards; notify supervisor of nonconformance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Train new and existing employees within the department and instruct them in all facets of the work cell.
  • Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Use computer systems to check order and shop statuses.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience with light mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
  • Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, jigs, meters, soldering irons, riveters, presses, and crimping tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and sound judgment.

Wage Range: $15.98/hr - $20.30/hr
