What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research, process, and resolve customer and health care provider questions about benefits, insurance eligibility, payments, and quality-care issues
- Relay detailed information to customers, managers, and clients
- Initiate status reports or service recovery letters to inquirers
- Educate new and existing customers and team members on relevant policies and procedures
- Document details of each interaction in the tracking system to maintain organized records
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of customer service experience in call centers, retail, restaurant, or similar roles
- Typing speed of 30+ words per minute
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- Ability to work in an ever-changing environment with strong multitasking and time management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in medical claims reimbursements or medical billing
- Knowledge of health insurance terminology and healthcare policies
- Familiarity with customer service techniques
